Lughnasadh Woven Blanket

This artwork was hand drawn by our in-house textiles designer Sarah Wildling to celebrate Lughnasadh (August 1st). Lughnasadh (August 1st) is a pagan Sabbat that marks the beginning of the harvest season and reminds us to pause and give thanks for the abundance that the earth provides. Many of its traditions, such as baking bread, sharing meals, and gathering with loved ones, honour the hard work that goes into growing and harvesting food. Creative activities and crafts celebrate the skills, talents, and dedication that help communities thrive. Together, these traditions encourage us to celebrate the fruits of our labour while looking ahead with hope for the seasons to come.

These tapestries are ethically woven in the USA using 100% cotton threads. They measure 80″ by 60″ i.e. 200cm X 150cm and make such great statement pieces for use as blankets or wall hangings. We’re currently working on designing and producing a full series of Sabbat inspired blankets to align with the pagan Wheel of the Year! Stay tuned for Mabon, coming next…
