Samhain Woven Blanket

Product Description

This artwork was hand drawn by our in-house textiles designer Sarah Wildling to celebrate Samhain (October 31st). It features flora and fauna that are symbolic of this time of the year. Samhain is a pagan Sabbat that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of Winter, honouring the cycle of life, death and rebirth. It is celebrated with bonfires, feasting, ancestral remembrance and rituals to honour the dead, as the veil between the living and spirit worlds is thinnest this time of year.

Our Sabbat tapestries are ethically woven in the USA using 100% cotton threads. They measure 80″ by 60″ i.e. 200cm X 150cm and make such great statement pieces for use as blankets or wall hangings. We have created a full series of 8 Sabbat inspired blankets that align with the pagan Wheel of the Year! Shop the full range here.
