This artwork was hand drawn by our in-house textiles designer Sarah Wildling to celebrate Litha (June 21st). Celebrated on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, when the sun’s power is at its peak Litha honours the abundance, vitality, and warmth of midsummer. Often marked with bonfires, feasting, and time spent in nature this Sabbat celebrates the balance between light and dark while giving thanks for growth, energy, and the life-giving strength of the sun.
These tapestries are ethically woven in the USA using 100% cotton threads. They measure 80″ by 60″ i.e. 200cm X 150cm and make such great statement pieces for use as blankets or wall hangings. We’re currently working on designing and producing a full series of Sabbat inspired blankets to align with the pagan Wheel of the Year! Stay tuned for Lughnasadh, coming next…
